I have members of my family dotted all over the home counties.  I can get to any one of them within an hour or two.  It’s rather nice because sometimes you just need to get away from the hum drum and spend a few days in the bosom of the family when you don’t see them every week.    We don’t speak on the phone a great deal.  We just email each  – sending a round robin catch up on our gossip every week.

The last few of those have contained exciting news from one sister having much work done in her 1980s executive detached.  Her dream of having a larger kitchen with space for an island and big eating area is likely to come true.  I’ve heard much about the planning, design, redesign and now am fully au fait with the building programme.  Thank heavens they used a professional design studio for this massive upgrade.  They are in very safe hands.
