We often think that interior designers are only interested in the domestic arena – the new open plan lounge cum dining room cum kitchen.  There of course are many families who do employ an interior designer for all of these exciting projects but there’s another sector of the community that is crying out for exactly the same expertise in making their environment modern, safe, beautiful and worth spending hard earned dosh on.  Small businesses need to make the most of their surroundings – take a home based hair dressing and beauty therapy salon.  I can think of at least two near me.  Both based very near me.  The design to keep costs down to the absolute minimum virtually strangles all hope of making the studio look anything other than a cheap alternative to going professional.  If some interior design is built in to the original set up  budget, word of mouth recommendations will come pouring from a satisfied and impressed client base.
