Furniture made up of Oak hardwood is firstly very difficult to obtain and secondly it is very costly. Thus it should be given proper care and maintenance otherwise the wood might end up getting spoiled and the money spent on obtaining it would be completely wasted.

Point to remember to take proper care and maintenance of Oak:

1. Although Oak is relatively harder and solid yet care must be taken while shifting the furniture from one place to another and the edges should be prevented from any collisions because they don’t get repaired.
2. Avoid direct exposure of sunlight on the furniture otherwise it might be darkened or lose its color.
3. To remove the dirt and moisture from the furniture take a clean cloth and wipe the surface with it.
4. Hot mugs, pans, saucepans must not be kept directly on the surface and instead a cloth must be placed in between.
