Since oak furniture is high in demand and is also very expensive its care and maintenance must be proper and should be regular. Otherwise it might end up getting ruined and spoiled and the money spent on it would be completely wasted.

- Though furniture made of oak is strong and solid, yet care must be taken while shifting it from one place to another. The edges should be saved from collisions since they usually don’t get repaired.
- One must avoid its exposure to direct sunlight which might gade its color, lead to its dryness and darkening.
- In order to remove moisture and dirt a cloth dipped in some oil must be used to clean the surface of furniture.
- Hot items such as mugs, hot saucepans must not be kept directly on the wooden surface and a cloth must be placed in between.
